Process

Most websites start with design. Mine start with strategy and messaging. The goal is not just to make your website look good, but to ensure it communicates clearly and converts visitors into clients.

1. Discovery

We start with a conversation to understand your business, your goals, and whether we're a good fit to work together.

2. Strategy

I analyze your industry, competitors, and ideal customers to identify the positioning that will make your website stand out.

3. Messaging

Together we craft clear, persuasive messaging so your website speaks directly to the people most likely to become clients.

4. Design

Your website's structure and visual direction are designed to support the strategy and guide visitors toward action.

5. Build

I build the site and we go through two rounds of revisions to refine final details such as layout, copy, and visuals.

6. Launch

After final testing, your website goes live and you can either manage it yourself or choose ongoing support.

Testimonials

Real feedback from clients on what it was like to work together—and what their new websites made possible.

"I had many ideas for my private chef and catering website but didn’t know how to organize them into something clear and professional. Working with Steve was excellent from the start—very patient, attentive, and easy to communicate with. He didn’t just build the site; he helped me reflect on my business and how to present it. Now I have a website that truly represents my work and helps me reach new clients in Atlanta. I’m very grateful and would gladly work with him again."

Pedro P.

Spanish Private Chef • Founder, Saberico — Atlanta

"Before working with Steve, I didn’t really have a way to showcase my work or present it clearly to potential clients. The process was very seamless—he delivered a first draft quickly and made edits easy. Steve also wasn’t afraid to be transparent about what actually converts in web design and what doesn’t, which I really appreciated. Now I have a website that makes it much easier to highlight my work and direct potential clients to learn about what I do."

Deana C.

PR & Communications Strategist • CEO, DharmaTalk — NYC

"I highly recommend working with Steve. For years I wanted a professional website but never managed to make it happen, as the process felt overwhelming. Steve made everything incredibly easy. He was patient, responsive, and guided me through every step, even helping to create content. The result exceeded my expectations. I now have a website that truly reflects my work and presents me as being much more established, allowing me to approach clients with greater confidence."

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to complete my website?
Most websites are completed within 3–5 weeks, depending on factors like content readiness (text and images) and how quickly feedback is provided. For simple “bare-bones” sites, rush delivery in as little as 1 week may be possible if you're available to review and approve milestones promptly.
What is your pricing?
Pricing depends on the scope of the project, including the number of pages, features, and overall complexity.

Typical project ranges include:
• Microsites: from $350 USD (single-page websites)
• Standard business websites: $800 – $1500 USD
• Advanced websites: custom quote
Do you build websites with SEO in mind?
Yes. Every website I build follows technical SEO best practices, including fast loading speeds, clean URLs, proper heading structure, and mobile optimization. These elements help search engines understand and index your site effectively.

For more advanced SEO work—such as keyword research, content strategy, or ongoing optimization—I can either add services to the project or recommend specialized SEO professionals.
Do you write website content (copywriting)?
Yes, I can help create and structure content for your website so it is clear, well-organized, and optimized for the web. For projects that require more advanced copywriting—such as brand messaging, sales copy, or in-depth SEO strategy—I can recommend experienced copywriting professionals.
Do you offer ongoing support and maintenance after launch?
Yes. I offer monthly and yearly maintenance plans that include website hosting, domain management, and small content updates. This allows you to focus on running your business while I take care of the technical side of keeping your website running smoothly.

Clients who prefer can also manage their hosting and domain independently.
Can I make my own updates?
Yes. Your website will be built on a platform that allows you to easily update text, images, and other content without needing technical knowledge. If you prefer, I can also handle updates and maintenance for you.
Do I own the website?
Once the project is completed and paid for, you own your website and all its content. You will have full access to your website platform and can manage or update it as needed.
What do I need to begin making a website?
You don’t need to have all the content ready at the beginning. We’ll start with a brief conversation about your business and goals, and I’ll guide you through what information is needed for each page so the process stays organized and efficient.
Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Yes. All websites I build are fully responsive and optimized to work smoothly on phones, tablets, and desktop devices.
Who are your services best suited for?
My services work best for small businesses, consultants, and professionals who need a clean, professional website that clearly presents their services. If you need a large custom platform or complex web application, I may recommend specialized development teams.
document.querySelectorAll('.carrd-faq-q').forEach(question => { question.addEventListener('click', function() { const faq = this.parentElement; document.querySelectorAll('.carrd-faq').forEach(item => { if (item !== faq) item.classList.remove('active'); }); faq.classList.toggle('active'); }); });

Process

Most websites start with colors and layouts. Mine start with understanding your business, your audience, and the message that will turn visitors into clients.

1. Discovery

Every project begins with a short conversation to understand your business and determine if we're a good fit.
If we decide to move forward, we dive deeper into your business, including:

  • Your products or services

  • Your target customers

  • Your goals for the website

  • The competitive landscape in your industry

This stage ensures the project starts with clarity and direction.

2. Strategy

Most websites fail because they skip this step.
Before designing anything, I research your industry and analyze how competitors position themselves. This helps identify:

  • Opportunities to stand out

  • Gaps in the market

  • What your ideal customers actually care about

We also define your buyer persona and unique value, creating a clear strategy that guides the entire website.

3. Messaging

Once the strategy is clear, we craft the messaging for your website. This includes:

  • Defining your unique selling proposition

  • Answering the questions potential clients are already asking

  • Choosing the tone and voice that fits your brand

Using insights from the strategy phase, I write clear, persuasive copy designed to turn visitors into inquiries or clients.

4. Design

With the messaging in place, we translate the strategy into the visual experience of the website. This involves:

  • Organizing content into a clear structure

  • Designing a layout that guides visitors toward key actions

  • Defining the visual style of the site

Typography, colors, imagery, and spacing are all carefully selected to support the brand and create a professional first impression.

5. Build

Once the design direction is set, I build the website and bring everything together.
You review the first version and provide feedback.
Two revision rounds are included:

  • Major revisions for structural changes such as sections and layout.

  • Minor refinements like text edits, spacing, and visual adjustments.

This stage also includes analytics setup, SEO configuration, and integrations.

6. Launch

Before launch, the website goes through final testing to ensure everything works smoothly across devices.
Once approved, your site goes live.
After launch you can choose:

  • Self-Managed: you receive training and manage the platform and hosting yourself.

  • Care Plan: I manage hosting, updates, and maintenance for you.

Most projects are completed within 3–5 weeks, while one-page microsites are often faster.

About Me

I’m a web designer focused on one thing above all: building websites that actually moves your business forward — not just make it look good.

If your goal is more or better clients, clearer positioning, and real confidence in your online presence, you’re in the right place.

My Background

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University. Before moving into web design, I worked inside different business functions — giving me a clear understanding of how businesses operate, communicate, and generate revenue.Today, I combine that foundation with web design, copywriting, and SEO to build websites that don’t just look good — but are structured to support real business growth.Having lived in Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa, and working in English, French, and Spanish, I bring a perspective shaped by different markets — and an ability to communicate clearly across them.

Why I Do This

I noticed something early on: Many talented professionals struggle not because they lack skill — but because they lack clarity.Their services are strong. Their ideas are solid. But their offer is messy, their pricing confusing, or their message buried. I enjoy bringing order to that.I especially like working with professionals who want to build something of their own — people stepping into entrepreneurship and trying to turn their expertise into a real business.Helping someone go from uncertainty to clarity is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Websites That Convert

I don’t believe in websites that exist just to look modern. Design matters — but only if it serves a purpose. A strong website should:

  • Make your value obvious

  • Build trust quickly

  • Guide visitors toward action

  • Reduce hesitation

  • Support your business goals
